How Attribution Works

Here's how we track who you bring to JSON2Video:

• You'll get a special link to share with your audience
• This link includes your unique affiliate code (we'll set this up together)
• When someone visits JSON2Video through your link, your code is saved in their browser for 30 days
• If they create a new JSON2Video account within those 30 days, the account is attributed to you
• If they click links from more than one affiliate, the last link they clicked before signing up gets the referral
• The attribution is fixed when the account is created and doesn't change later
• Only new accounts count. People who already had a JSON2Video account before clicking your link are not eligible

Here's what the links look like:

Tracking depends on the visitor's browser (for example, it won't work if they sign up on a different device or clear their browser data). If you think a referral wasn't recorded, email me within 30 days of the signup and I'll review it. Manual attribution is not guaranteed.

Your Commission

• You earn 20% of the net revenue from each customer you refer
• Net revenue is the amount the customer pays, minus taxes (such as VAT or sales tax) and payment processing fees
• You earn commission for 12 months per customer, starting on the date of that customer's first payment
• Each customer you refer has their own 12-month period, no matter when you referred your other customers
• Payments made after a customer's 12 months don't earn commission

Example: your first referred customer makes their first payment on January 10, 2027. You earn commission on their payments until January 9, 2028. A second customer makes their first payment on June 5, 2027. You earn commission on their payments until June 4, 2028.

Some partners have a custom agreement with different conditions. If you have one in writing, it applies instead of the conditions on this page.

Eligible Purchases

You earn commission on these payments, as long as they are made within the 12-month period:

• Monthly subscriptions
• Yearly plans (the full yearly payment counts)
• One-time credit top-ups

You don't earn commission on:

• Payments made more than 12 months after the customer's first payment
• Payments that are refunded or charged back
• Purchases from your own accounts, or from accounts of your company, team or family (self-referrals)
• Customers who already had a JSON2Video account before clicking your link
• Free or promotional credits

Refunds and Chargebacks

• Refunded or charged-back payments don't earn commission
• Commissions are held for 30 days after each payment before they can be paid out. This covers our refund period and most payment disputes
• If a payment is refunded or charged back after you've been paid, that commission is deducted from your next payouts

Where You Can Promote JSON2Video

You can promote JSON2Video through:

• Your own content: YouTube videos, tutorials, courses, blog posts, newsletters, podcasts and social media
• Your communities (Skool, Discord, Facebook groups, etc.)
• Templates and workflows you share (n8n, Make, Zapier, etc.)
• Paid ads that promote your own content (for example, promoting your YouTube tutorial)

These are not allowed:

• Bidding on "JSON2Video" or similar keywords (including misspellings) in Google Ads, Bing Ads or any other search ads
• Pretending to be JSON2Video or its support team, or using our name in domain names, social media accounts or ad accounts
• Spam: unsolicited emails or direct messages, comment spam, etc.
• Coupon or deal sites with fake or unauthorized discount codes
• Paying people, or offering them cash rewards, to sign up
• Misleading claims about JSON2Video, its pricing or its limits (for example, "unlimited free videos")
• Cookie stuffing, hidden links, forced clicks or any other method that attributes signups you didn't actually refer

If you break these rules, we may remove you from the program and cancel any unpaid commissions.

Getting Paid

• Commissions are calculated in US dollars (USD)
• Payouts are monthly and include the commissions that have passed the 30-day holding period
• A minimum payout of $100 is required. If your balance is lower, it carries over to the next month
• The payment method depends on the country on your invoice:
  • Inside the European Union: bank transfer in euros (EUR). We convert the amount from USD using the exchange rate on the payment date
  • Outside the European Union: PayPal or another payment link, in US dollars (USD)
• Payout fees (such as PayPal fees, bank fees or currency conversion costs) are paid by you
• You are responsible for giving us correct payment details. We are not responsible for payments sent to wrong bank or PayPal details that you provided
• You are responsible for any taxes on your earnings

Invoices

• A valid invoice is required for every payout. If you can't issue an invoice, we can't pay your commissions
• Your invoice must include your legal name, address and tax ID (or VAT number, if you have one), and meet the legal requirements of your country
• If you are inside the European Union, include your IBAN
• I'll send you our company details for the invoice together with your earnings report
• Payments are made within 15 days of receiving a valid invoice

Unclaimed Commissions

• To claim your commissions, ask me for your earnings report and send the invoice
• Commissions expire if they are not claimed within 12 months of the customer payment that generated them
• This also applies to balances below the $100 minimum

Tracking Your Performance

Right now, the affiliate system is pretty simple (I built it myself!):

• Email me at the start of each month
• I'll send you a detailed report of your earnings
• I'm working on an automated system with reports and easier payouts, but I don't have a date yet

Changes to the Program

• We can change these terms, the commission rate or end the program at any time
• Changes apply from the date they are published on this page, unless a different effective date is stated. Check the dates at the top
• Commissions earned before a change are paid under the terms that applied when they were earned

Customers Referred Before September 1, 2026

Until August 31, 2026, commissions had no time limit. This is how the change works for customers you already referred:

• Payments made until August 31, 2026 earn commission under the previous terms
• From September 1, 2026, the 12-month limit applies to all customers, including the ones you referred before
• Customers whose first payment was more than 12 months ago stop earning commission
• Customers still within their first 12 months keep earning commission until they reach 12 months
