About Free Accounts
- Most of your viewers will start with a free account (600 credits)
- 600 credits can be used for 10 minutes of video if you don't use premium add-ons (such as ElevenLabs voices)
- Free accounts have a watermark on videos
- Free credits don't renew automatically
- When planning your content, make sure it works within these limits
- Make sure your users can create a few videos with the free plan before upgrading
TTS Voice Features
We have some great TTS voice integrations (Azure, ElevenLabs), but please make sure to read this carefully:
Credit Usage
- Azure voices are included in the free tier
- Premium add-ons (such as ElevenLabs voices) cost extra credits
- Premium add-ons consume credits even if the video doesn't render successfully (this is because these third-party services are too expensive to give them for free)
- Check out our credit usage guide for details
The Most Important Rule
- Choose to use the included-for-free TTS voices in your main tutorials
- This allows your users to create videos with the free plan in an easy way without worrying too much about credits
- If you want to show the integration of ElevenLabs, provide the option as a final add-on and make it clear that it uses extra credits, only recommended after successfully creating a few videos with the free voices
- This helps prevent frustration when viewers run out of credits quickly and tons of support requests with complaints
