Connect JSON2Video to Make.com
To connect JSON2Video to Make.com, you'll need to create a connection within the Make.com platform. This connection allows you to use JSON2Video's modules to automate video creation workflows.
Using your API Key
You must use an API key to connect JSON2Video to Make.com. We strongly recommend creating a new secondary API key specifically for Make.com rather than using your primary API key. This is a security best practice that allows you to manage and revoke Make.com's access independently if needed.
A secondary API key is a dedicated key that you create specifically for Make.com. A secondary API key with Render permissions is ideal for this purpose.
Establishing the Connection
Here's how to establish the connection:
-
Create or Open a Make.com Scenario: Begin by either creating a new scenario in Make.com or opening an existing one where you want to integrate JSON2Video.
-
Add a JSON2Video Module: In your scenario, add a JSON2Video module (e.g., "Wait for a Movie to Render"). All JSON2Video modules require an established connection.
-
Add a Connection: When prompted to select a connection, click "Add" to create a new one.
-
Connection Name: Provide a descriptive name for your connection (e.g., "My JSON2Video Connection").
-
API Key: You will be prompted for your JSON2Video API key. You can create a new secondary API key in the JSON2Video Dashboard. Copy and paste your new API key into the Make.com connection settings.
-
Save the Connection: Click "Continue" or "Save" to establish and store the connection in Make.com.
Now, you can use the newly created connection to authenticate subsequent calls to the JSON2Video API from within your Make.com scenarios. This allows you to dynamically create videos based on data and triggers within Make.com.
